Granddaughter (8) rang from Rotorua while on holiday. I told her about the local children jumping for coins and holding them in their mouths, and I wondered aloud if they still did that. I told her how clever they were to do this using coins thrown by the tourists. She said, “Nana, why don’t the tourists give the children the money to save them jumping in?” I thought that an excellent idea!
