Elisabeth Moss returns to reprise her Golden Globe-winning role as Detective Robin Griffin in Top of the Lake: China Girl, the second season of the hit Kiwi murder mystery drama.
The first trailer for season two of the BBC Two, BBC UKTV and Sundance Channel co-production, entitled Top of the Lake: China Girl was released on Thursday.
This time around, the action picks up in Sydney as Robin investigates the murder of an Asian girl whose body washes up on Bondi Beach.
The star-studded cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie, David Dencik and Alice Englert. Kiwi director Jane Campion, who co-directed the critically acclaimed first season of the show, is back on board again as writer and director.
Top of the Lake: China Girl will screen in its entirety at Cannes Film Festival before airing episodically later this year.
