Being grateful

Appreciation is the key to happiness. When was the last time you felt content with all that you have? Sometimes in our increasingly consumer-driven society we tend to get caught up with constantly seeking new things after one desire has been fulfilled – new shoes, a new model mobile phone, the latest DVD. It can drive you to distraction!

It seems some of us have forgotten the art of simply being and appreciating our lives. Try this wellbeing tip:

Before you go to sleep each night, take the time to think of three things you were grateful for that day. You might be thankful your friend rang to check how you were. Mr perhaps that your partner was able to pick up the kids after school. Maybe you’re grateful for that delicious home-cooked meal you ate tonight. Look for the beauty in your life and your life will be a beautiful experience.
