Skincare for men

Come on boys, taking care of your skin should be a regular job for you, too. Your skincare routine doesn’t have to be too tricky but you should be using specialty products to properly clean and protect your skin.

oen’s skin is tougher than women’s due to a thicker epidermis (and of course you have facial hair) but it is still prone to oily, dry or sensitive skin conditions. A good cleanser will get rid of the daily build-up of grime and dead skin cells.

A facial scrub twice a week will reduce blackheads and ingrown hairs, while a moisturiser will help prevent dryness and premature ageing. And a word to the wise – sun damage is not the mark of a real man. Use a good sunscreen every time you step outside.

How to take care of your skin: 1. Wash your face using a daily cleanser, then rinse thoroughly. The shower is a great place to do this.

  1. Twice weekly, use an exfoliating facial scrub to remove dead skin cells and deep-seated dirt. oassage a small amount of scrub into your skin using gentle, circular motions, then rinse thoroughly. This can also be done in the shower.
  1. Use a shaving gel, foam or oil – not soap, which can dry your skin. For optimum results, shave straight after your shower when the hair is softened. Change razor blades regularly.
  1. Apply moisturiser with a sun protection factor (SPF).
