Married At First Sight Australia stars Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have called it quits.
The pair found love on season 13 of the viral reality show and were the only bride and groom to remain together following the series’ end. They even got engaged at Final Vows.
But now it appears love is officially dead after sources confirmed to Daily Mail Australia both Stella and Filip are “no longer on talking terms” and ended their relationship weeks ago.
“It was ultimately Filip who decided to end things. He’d been wrestling with it for a while and eventually realised they just weren’t on the same page about what they wanted out of life,” the insider shared.
“There wasn’t some huge explosive fight. It was more of a slow realisation that they were heading in different directions.”
Now, Stella has shared her side of the story, writing just a few weeks shy of their one-year-anniversary that she’d “made mistakes” and had “regrets” following their split.
What happened to Stella and Filip from MAFS?

According to reports, money was the driving factor behind the decision to end their relationship. Dail Mail Australia reported Stella “wanted a partner who could really support her financially,” but wasn’t convinced her on-screen husband could.
The pair, who were the ultimate favourites to come out of Married At First Sight Australia season 13, were last publicly seen together in May 2026 – although they did feature on one another’s Instagram pages earlier in July.
Stella addresses breakup with Filip in Instagram post.
Since the news broke, Stella has taken to Instagram to confess her true feelings behind their split.
“It would be easy to tell this story by deciding who was right and who was wrong,” the MAFS’ bride shared, adding that she’d made mistakes and had regrets – but said those truths had turned into a gift.
“…But only if we choose to receive them that way,” she reflected, adding the past week presumably following the breakup had been difficult.
“This past week, I went to the depths of it,” she wrote. “And I have a feeling the rollercoaster isn’t quite over yet. There are still feelings to be felt. Life has a beautiful way of teaching us. Sometimes gently. And sometimes, when we miss the gentle lessons… Life delivers one that’s heartbreakingly loud.”
She continued, “This one was loud. Boy, was it loud.”

Stella reflected on her qualities she’d once perceived as strengths including her urgency, directness and drive, but confessed her relationship with Filip had shown her that alongside her ambition, there was a lot of fear.
“Fear has a remarkable way of disguising itself,” she wrote, adding that when fear takes over, “the people we love don’t always experience our intentions.”
“Sometimes they experience pressure,” the bride shared. “Sometimes they experience control. Sometimes they experience someone who is focused on tomorrow that they unintentionally miss the beauty of today.”
“This has been one of the hardest mirrors I’ve ever had to look into.”
Filip hasn’t made a public statement but did tell PEDESTRIAN TV he wishes Stella “all the best in the future”.
Stella and Filip engagement: What happened?
The pair were set to celebrate their first anniversary later this year.
Dubbed a MAFS “success story” by their series’ end, the pair cemented their popularity when Filip proposed to Stella.
“I came into this experiment looking for love. I’ve definitely found what I was looking for,” he said during Final Vows. “I can’t believe I’m walking out with the love of my life.
“You made me believe in love again, Stella. You have shown me what kindness, love and loyalty genuinely look like. With you, I feel seen, accepted, and inspired to be better every single day.”
Following Filip’s words, he dropped to one knee and proposed.
“I know what my heart wants,” the groom told her. “Something just for us, something that is truly ours.”
“I told you you’re my person, my soulmate,” Filip said afterwards. “It’s just the beginning.”
