Production on the Lord of the Rings television series may have shifted from our shores, but New Zealander Leon Wadham will still shine on the small screen when the second season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power launches this week.
The Wellington-born Toi Whakarri graduate who you may know from Go Girls, The Brokenwood Mysteries and Under the Mountain is one of the main faces in the second season of Amazon Prime’s big-budget hit. Wahdam plays the power-hungry Kemen in the show, set thousands of years before events in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings novels.
Leon is now back in Aotearoa after a whirlwind tour of premieres and red carpets, including the latest premiere across the ditch in Sydney, where he was joined by costars Charlie Vickers, Markella Kavenagh and Tyroe Muhafidin.
Congratulations Leon, we can’t wait to watch the series.
