Lifestyle news: Ban on pesticides

PlaceMakers and The Warehouse have both stopped stocking pesticides which harm bees.

The chemical group neonicotinoids, typically found in bug and flower sprays, was restricted in Europe because of its effects on bee crops.

Home gardeners can help by not using any pesticides in their garden or, if they do, checking the ingredients label and making sure they do not contain neonicotinoids.
