Kimberley Crossman hosted a star-studded “wholesome hens” party at Auckland’s Eden Park ahead of her intimate South Island wedding to fiancé Tom Walsh this week.
Among the close friends in attendance were some of Kim’s co-stars from Shortland Street, Celebrity Treasure Island and Creamerie, including Bree Tomasel, Perlina Lau, JJ Fong, Amanda Billing and Angela Bloomfield.
First up, proud SPCA ambassador Kim, 33, had organised a cuddle session with half a dozen puppies available for adoption, encouraging all her guests to post pictures to help the canines find their forever homes. (Visit them at spca.co.nz/adopt.)
Then local meditation guide Marama Wellness hosted a breathwork and sound-bath session. Kim credits the practices with easing her anxiety. The session was followed by a sweet shared lunch, where Bree’s cheesecake was declared dessert of the day.
“I feel so grateful to have this amazing village of empowered and kind women who have walked me through my adult life,” she tells us. “Add puppies and it’s the perfect day!”
