WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24

Rounding out Tuesday night was the AOK show – All On K Road. From desert worthy chic offerings from Lela Jacobs, to the subtle stylings of Ovna Ovich, the bold signature prints and forms from Maaike and Jimmy D doing the his classic gender fluid best.

Wednesday began with an exhibition by Yu Mei with beautiful bags made from soft nappa in a variety of shades and shapes.

The New Generation featured collections from Campbell Luke, Danielle Power-Silk, Kendall Watt and Motel Bible. Campbell Luke made the show for me with their denim and linen pieces.

Penny Sage presented a stunning show with a muted palette highlighted by a standout print and pops of orange. I fell in love with the two khaki coats which I need in my life right now.

The NZ Weddings show started with a bang with our very own Dom Bowden opening the show for Working Style. Wolf whistles and cheers rang out through the room. The group show ended with a red gown from Trish Peng with a veil that ran the length of the room.

There was a stunning catwalk show from Lucilla Gray with beautiful designs featuring a standout psychedelic print.

And then came Hailwood with a combination of sequins, checks, high waisted trousers and argyle patterns all set to a live operatic performance … All in all it was a stunning show and there were tears from around the room.

Fashion Highlight of the Day

Today my highlight was definitely Hailwood – every piece I wanted and it had the full drama of a proper show. Congratulations Adrian!
