Seoul Searching
K-Beauty haul from Adore Beauty
“After years of mentally filing away all the rave reviews and product recs, my foray into Korean skincare has finally begun. One week in, SKIN1004‘s Centella Cleansing Oil has been a beautiful introduction, so I’ll be doing my homework over the coming weeks, and heading into Black Friday with a wish list, a budget, and alerts for all the sites that had the best K-beauty edits and the biggest sales and discounts in 2025″

Bounce Back
GHD Volumising Hot Brush, $247
“Finding a tool that gives my thick, almost bob-length hair soft, bouncy volume without veering into pageant-curl territory has been harder than expected. After plenty of searching, the GHD Volumising Hot Brush is the first one that’s genuinely tempted me. The reasonable price point, especially with a discount, certainly helps, and its promise of up to twice the volume that lasts all day sounds almost too good to pass up.”

Sneaky Stuff
ASICS Gel range, $290
“Sports sneakers are well and truly no longer gym-exclusive attire. The ASICS range of sportstyle shoes is especially enticing to me, with their old-school silhouettes and reflective detailing that can be styled up in a surprisingly sport-chic kind of way. Whether or not I end up using these for the gym is a 50/50 — but at the very least, they’re comfy, cool and perfect for day-to-day wear.
“I’m eyeing the Black & Silver Gel-Kayano 12.1 Sneakers in the range.”

Dream on
Sheet Society Bed sets, from $59.50
“Sheet Society’s Black Friday preview went live this week, so admittedly there’s an order already making its way to me, but the deals are so good I’m still finding reasons to add more to my cart. The Eden Cotton sheets are a personal favourite thanks to their soft feel and clever zip closure, which I much prefer to buttons. I expect I will have talked myself into the Winnie Polka Dot set before the sale wraps up, although I’m waiting to see what Hommey (and Bed Threads, and Farmers) has in store, too”.

Totally 90s
Adidas, Matching sets
“My follow-through on exercise goals this year has been questionable, hence why I’m always on the lookout for affordable activewear. I’ve noticed a lot of brands leaning into that block-colour, ’90s/’00s look, which feels cute and chic enough to wear almost anywhere this spring/summer. I’m hoping a few fresh pieces might also provide some much-needed motivation…”
