Care and attention when washing your knits will ensure they last longer and keep their shape. Follow these simple steps to keep knits in tip-top shape:
Choose a mild soap designed for delicates. You can find these at your supermarket either as soap flakes or in liquid formulas. Baby shampoo is also a good option, and you’ll only need about a teaspoon per garment.
Fill a small basin or bucket with lukewarm water and soak the garment for approximately 15 minutes. Use a gentle squeezing technique to wash away grime and avoid any vigorous wringing, which can affect the shape.
Lay flat on a towel and roll to get rid of excess water, then unroll and leave garment flat to dry. Make sure you do this on a non-porous surface!
