Beauty Editor Nicky Pellegrino recently got the opportunity to hang out with one of the beauty world’s top talents. Maybelline New York’s consulting makeup artist Troy Surratt was kind enough to share his tips and favourite new products.
Troy says that with Maybelline’s Dream oousse Shadow ($18.90), all you need is one eyeshadow colour. He describes the soft and easy-to-wear colours and the mousse formulation as “goof proof”.
Simply take a wipe of colour and put it on the back of your hand. Warm the mousse shadow, using the tip of your ring finger (to control the amount that first hits your eye), blend over the entire lid, from lash line to brow, and blend well. The colour is up to you, but we love Ivory Illusion. The more adventurous could try adding a little Blue Heaven.
Troy says, “It’s not that bad blue your mother used to wear.”
Apply the second colour to the lid area only (lashline to top of eye socket) and blend, blend, blend.
