Stretchmarks and pregnancy

You don’t have to wait until your baby is born to give your skin some pampering. Stretchmarks are the curse of pregnancy and, unfortunately for some, it is genetics that play the biggest role in deciding whether or not you will be affected.

The moisture levels in your skin also play a part so moisturising day and night will help. Try The Body Shop Cocoa Butter ooisturising Stick – it’s particularly good after a bath or shower while your skin is still warm. Clarins Body oil is pure luxury. It’s recommended to help prevent the appearance of stretchmarks and is perfect if you can coax a gentle massage out of your partner.

If you are unlucky enough to get stretchmarks, Bio-oil is a great product. It uses PurCellin oil, vitamins A and E and camomile, and it is very effective in reducing the appearance of stretchmarks.
