NAOMI WATTS – As if the belt wasn’t enough of a cinch already, the pale Aussie star has broken away from the seasonal slavish colours of her peers and opted to step back in time and flirt with floor-length lavender. Watts not to like?

RACHEL MCADAMS – There’s no way anyone could miss the train with this epic emerald gown that seems to shout serious sophistication but is really muttering, “What was I thinking?”

MICHELLE KEEGAN – Sometimes a white dress is a blank screen on which anyone can project their own taste. At other times, it’s just a great big blank bit of ho-hum. 6/10

SELENA GOMEZ – For the Bieber’s belle this life-saving leopard skin came only Justin time. If we thought we would look this good in it we’d never change our spots.

VANESSA HUDGENS – She’s a superstar with the teen crowd thanks to ‘High School Musical’ and now she’s a firm favourite with the fashion crowd, thanks to eye-catching styles like this magenta beauty. 8/10.

HALLE BERRY – It’s not exactly a catsuit but it makes the actress look purr-fectly stunning. Who said a see-through blouse would look too casual? Not when it’s teamed with a smart and shiny two-pieced suit.

BROOKE SHIELDS – Black was never more basic – meaning it’s almost impossible to go wrong in basic black – but based on this we’ve basically revised our opinion. And perhaps she should spend a little less time spray tanning? 5/10

FROCK OF THE WEEK: Miranda Kerr – When it comes to setting the fashion pace, the supermodel is definitely Miranda be reckoned with. She was spotted out in this little-girl frock that made her look like she didn’t have a Kerr in the world. 9/10
