MY BEAUTY PHILOSOPHY IS… If you look after goodness and truth, beauty will take care of itself. But a fabulous red lipstick can also work wonders for your soul.
MY HAIRCARE SECRET IS… Wet set pin curls! Instead of damaging my hair with heat and products, I put setting lotion through wet hair at night, roll sections around my fingers, clip them flat to my head with bobby pins and tie a silk scarf over the lot.
THE MUST-HAVE PRODUCTS IN MY MAKEUP BAG ARE… Bésame’s Cherry Red Lipstick, 1930s Mascara and Crimson Rouge (1 & 2). All Bésame products are based on authentic vintage colours and formulations. Also no vintage-loving gal could be without liquid eyeliner. My picks are Rimmel Glam’Eyes or Maybelline New York Master Precise.
MY FAVOURITE BEAUTY TREAT IS… Sleep! I never seem to get enough of it and after years of thinking I could get away with only five or six hours, I have built up a deficit so huge that I don’t imagine I will ever be able to catch up.
MY BIGGEST BEAUTY SIN IS… Not drinking enough water. Terrible, I know!
