Learn how to create the perfect smoky eye.
• It makes sense to tackle your eyes before the rest of your make-up, as there is bound to be some powder fallout to cleanse away before putting
on your foundation.
• Apply a pale shade first as a base all over the lid. Then work a darker shade into your lashes and upwards. Avoid using it in the inner corners of your eyes as this makes them seem smaller.
• Choose an even darker hue to define the crease of the eye, once again concentrating on the outer part. Use a brush to blend well, making sure there are no harsh lines. Smudge along the upper and lower lashline with the darkest shade or use a pencil such as Inika Mineral Liner in Purple Minx $28.99 (1).
• Kim Kardashian (above) has gone for the classic “smoky” look – grey, black or brown – but try purples or deep blues. Just make sure you stick with
one colour family at a time.
• Finish with two coats of mascara to boost volume and length. Try Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion $30.99 (2).
