We all know how great a good hair day feels, and with the sizzling Kiwi summer coming up soon, there’s no better time to give your locks a little extra TLC!

If you’re not sure whether your current hair care routine is the best for you, you’re not alone – in a survey of 1,005 Kiwi women commissioned by Pantene, nearly 90 per cent said they weren’t happy with the products they were using.

Aussie hair guru Barney Martin says the change of seasons is a good time to reassess what your ‘do needs.

“If you find a product that works for you then go with it, but when the seasons change, for example with summer coming, you may need a more moisturising shampoo and conditioner,” he says.

“I also recommend having the Ultimate 10 BB Crème on hand, which is a 10-in-1 multi-tasking treatment that moisturizes, de-tangles, and de-frizzes for incredibly healthy looking hair.”

To combat problems with dry, limp and dull hair, Barney recommends using a volume mousse, repair treatments and a shine and moisture shampoo such as the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal with Keratin Damage Blockers.

For the season ahead, Barney’s favourite hairstyle is “relaxed, natural haircuts with soft pastel tones” – so don’t be afraid to play with colour!
