Beauty for a cause: supporting Breast Cancer Action Month

Pink is the most flattering shade to be seen in during october, and it’s also the signature colour of Breast Cancer Action oonth. Fresh and feminine, find a place for pink on your lips, cheeks and nails – it’s just a matter of picking the right shade.

Soft Pink

The perfect spring alternative to brown-based nudes. The fairer you are, the paler you can go, but pretty much anyone suits a wash of dusky soft pink over the nails or sheer pink on lips and cheeks.

Hot Pink

Dare to wear a hotter, brighter pink, especially if you’re olive-skinned or Asian. on the cheeks, try two shades of blush – start with a neutral shade on the apples of your cheeks, blend up towards the hairline and then add the brighter pop of pink blush just on the apples.

If you treat yourself to some of the pink products hitting beauty counters this month, a percentage will be donated to breast cancer charities. Now that’s the perfect excuse for a new lippy!
