You can’t go without a good eyelash curler for that wide-eyed, lifted look! Tip: Curl once or twice at the base of your lashes and then again at the mid-point of your lashes to get better results. Image: Pablo Martin/bauersyndication.com.au

For more voluminous lashes like Felicity Jones’, try sprinkling a tiny bit of loose powder on your lashes in between coats of mascara. The power will give your mascara something to grip onto for fuller, bolder lashes.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match different mascaras if you have more than a few favourites! This will help you get an even more dramatic look. Pictured: Collection Cosmetics Big Fake Curves, Napoleon Perdis Mesmer-Eyes Waterproof, Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume.

For more separated, defined lashes like Kristen Bell’s, grab a lash comb and carefully go through your upper lashes from root to tip to get rid of any clumps after applying mascara.

To get more out of your mascara, give the brush a wiggle right at the roots of your lashes to make sure you’re really coating every hair, and comb up and outwards to lengthen. Image: Paul Suesse/bauersyndication.com.au
