What are the first three seasons of The Bear TV show about?

The first season of The Bear follows Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (played by Shameless alum Jeremy Allen White), a young fine dining chef who is forced to return home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after the death of his brother. The first eight episodes show Carmy’s grapples with trading in the prestige world of fine dining to managing a struggling family business and its ragtag bunch of cooks. In the season one finale, Carmy realises that his brother Michael had more faith in him than he ever thought after he discovers a cryptic note. “Let it rip,” the note reads — and Carmy discovers his brother has left him large sums of cash hidden in food cans around the restaurant.
Carmy renames the restaurant ‘The Bear’, and with a renewed focus, he begins the work to revive it. Season 2 of The Bear again follows Carmy’s progress in reviving his restaurant, although it’s not without hurdles. We also get to see how his relationships with Syd (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss Bachrach), Marcus (Lionel Boyce) and the rest of his staff develop.
Season three follows Carmy, Sydney and Richie as they do what it takes to elevate The Bear, their beef stand turned fine dining establishment, to the highest level, all while doing their best just to stay in business. Carmy pushes himself harder than ever, and demands excellence from his crew, who do their best to match his intensity.

Will there be a season 4 of The Bear?
Without giving away too many season 3 finale sports, there simply has to be, right? We can’t end on that ‘To be Continued’ cliffhanger.
Happily, it was confirmed by Deadline in March that The Bear has been renewed for a fourth season. The lead stars have also hinted that some of it may have already been shot in conjunction with the third season, to navigate the lead stars’ increasingly booked-and-busy schedules. That means we know that Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiti and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are all almost guaranteed to return. Judging by the release schedule of the previous three seasons, it will most likely be a mid-year 2025 release, but watch this space.
