As the number of roses dwindles, a long and happy life with Zac Franich feels tantalisingly close for not one but five remaining bachelorettes.

But who will win The Bachelor’s heart? This week, Woman’s Day chats exclusively to Viarni Bright, Sarah Whales-Martin, Claudia Hoskins, Lily McManus and Hannah Howley.

From similar values to a shared sense of humour or the way he gives them butterflies when he walks in the room, the girls tell us they’d love to be the future Mrs Franich.

SARAH: Of being in the final five, Christchurch earthquake consultant Sarah says, “At the beginning of the show I said that I was interested to meet the other girls as it’d be a good reflection on what Zac was looking for.

“Other than the other intruders I definitely felt like most of the girls were not necessarily people I’d choose to surround myself with. But being final five we obviously all have our own qualities that Zac is attracted to.”

VIARNI: Fan favourite Viarni adores Zac’s voice and his smile, “but mostly his warming presence that makes you feel comfortable and happy in almost any situation – and we get put in a lot of weird situations.”

CLAUDIA: With quality moments with Zac so precious, Claudia says, “If I could spend more time with Zac it would just be something nice and relaxed where we can chat about whatever comes to mind and do something fun. But given the situation, I suppose at this point I would just like to know whether or not he sees me is his future and if he has any concerns with me going forward.”

HANNAH: “I believe Zac and I would make a great couple because we are so comfortable around each other,” says sports nut Hannah, “We want the same things in life right now and I feel like we would be really supporting of one another in a relationship.”

LILY: “I love some of those girls to bits, and know I’ll stay real close with a small handful of them,” says Lily, who plans to remain friends with the bachelorettes even after the final rose.
