In a world where Botox-filled needles and risky weight-loss drugs are increasingly common, it’s clear many want to defy the signs of ageing, but would you really want to limp on past 100?
That’s the question posed in new series Do You Want To Live Forever?, with journalist Tracy Grimshaw and physician Dr Nick Coatsworth investigating whether we can truly beat the diseases that kill
us and push the boundaries of human longevity further than ever.

Four pairs of participants undergo medically supervised trials and health interventions. Through the process, viewers will learn tips on how to live longer, and witness remarkable before-and-after transformations.
ENVER & ELIANA

If there’s one thought that will give any parents grey hair, it’s that their children will never move out of home. For Enver and Eliana Scott, it’s a reality – they live with their four adult children and their partners – all under one roof. Eliana, 57, travels a lot for work, and her obsessive cleanliness and late-night snacking has taken a toll on her mind and body. While Enver, 51, is worried about his unhealthy lifestyle of daily drinking and smoking catching up with him. They hope Do You Want To Live Forever? will bring them a renewed sense of health, a rekindling of their romance and more energy in their home lives.

Married parents to three little ones, Luke Williamson and Taylor Hague, both 28, have a worrying family medical history of high blood pressure. Taylor, a salon owner who juggles work and parenthood, lost her father at a young age and wants to ensure she’ll be around for her children’s lives. Construction worker Luke tries to live a healthy lifestyle. But gives in to the urges of regular takeaway meals and alcohol consumption. Together, they want to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
DUNCAN & TOM

When Duncan Armstrong made waves by winning gold for Australia at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. Breaking a world record in the 200m freestyle in the process, you wouldn’t have guessed that years later he would suffer a heart attack and undergo triple-bypass surgery. Those health issues were compounded by the former swimming champ grappling with body image post-retirement. Now 55, Duncan wants to focus on his emotional wellbeing and build a support network. He’s joined by his son Tom Bruce, who’s concerned he may have inherited his dad’s predisposition to heart disease and wants to get ahead of it. Tom, 32, shares his father’s love of sport. Having lived in the US for 10 years, swimming and playing rugby union professionally. Now a father himself, Tom wants to improve his fluctuating eating and fitness habits.

ELIZA & LIBERTY

Melbourne sisters Eliza and Liberty Paschke became famous for their hilarious banter and kind nature on reality reno show The Block Australia in 2023. While Liberty loved her workout routines and early rise. Eliza could often be found sleeping in and overindulging in the free McDonald’s provided on site. Since then, not much has changed. Eliza, 38, the self-described slob, finally wants to prioritise her wellbeing and is curious to learn about her fertility. A former PA to comedians Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, she’ll have to change her sleeping, eating and irregular exercise habits to improve her cholesterol. Meanwhile, health-conscious Liberty, 35, is excited to expand her knowledge even further. She hopes to improve her stress levels and embrace new methods to defy ageing.
