Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who welcomed a baby boy at 4.24pm London time.
Weighing in at a healthy 8 pounds, 6 ounces, both the baby, who is the third in line to the throne, and Kate are said to be doing very well. It is understood that the Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
The official proclamation of the birth, signed by the doctors who delivered the baby has been driven through the streets of London and placed on an easel outside Buckingham Palace.
