Canoeing golden girl Dame Lisa Carrington has revealed she’s expecting her first child! “We’re so ready for this next chapter and couldn’t be more excited to begin our journey into parenthood,” she posted with hubby Michael Buck and their beloved pooch Colin today.
Understanding all the questions that come from pregnancy announcements, she covered off all of the expected frequently asked questions, including her due date of September, not finding out the gender, and her goals to still attend the LA 2028 Olympics.
Chatting to The Australian Women’s Weekly last year, the three-time Supreme Halberg Award-winner revealed she had been thinking about having children, sharing “it’s 100 per cent on my mind and, being older, it’s something we have to figure out.”
In her post today she revealed “pregnancy so far has been a real learning curve – but feeling very lucky and very excited for what’s to come.”
