Proving it’s never too late to find love, Cher is planning a big white wedding with her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards, 39, as the powerhouse singer prepares to turn 80 in May!
“You’ve got to remember Cher has never really had a proper wedding,” a source close to the Believe chart-topper tells Woman’s Day.
“She married Sonny Bono in a bathroom and later in Tijuana, then Gregg Allman was a Vegas wedding that ended after nine days.
“She knows some of her friends think she’s crazy at almost 80 to be playing brides, but this is her last and only chance to have the whole Vera Wang moment. “She wants to have it at her Malibu home – the most perfect Italian Renaissance villa overlooking the ocean – surrounded by her closest friends and family.

“She’s hoping Oprah Winfrey will perform the ceremony. It’s hard to argue with a woman about to turn 80 who wants to spend her twilight years happily hitched.”
Other guests are likely to include Hugh Jackman, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman.
Jen & Courteney’s race to the altar
Courteney Cox is feeling the pressure to lock down a wedding date with her long-term partner, Johnny McDaid. The tension comes as her Friends bestie Jennifer Aniston’s romance with Jim Curtis continues to move quickly.
“Courteney and Johnny know their friends and families are getting impatient,” an insider explains.
“They did have plans to tie the knot this year, but Jen’s romance with Jim took over their whole social circle and she didn’t want to outshine her pal. “Now Jen and Jim are about to publicly announce their engagement, and Courteney’s feeling left behind. With Johnny going on the road in May to tour with his band Snow Patrol, it’s hard to get excited about yet another friend’s bridal plans when it should have been her being fussed over.”
After two years together, Courteney, 61, and Johnny, 49, called off their engagement in 2015, but later rekindled their romance. Meanwhile, Jen, 56, and Jim, 50, went official last month. Woman’s Day hears that while the hypnotist is yet to officially propose, the pair is already talking about nuptials in Greece to honour her late father John’s heritage.
“She wants a wedding where they’re surrounded by ancient ruins and beautiful natural landscapes,” a close source spills.
“She loves the idea of sunrise vows overlooking the Aegean Sea.”
Taylor & Travis’ shotgun wedding!
It’s full steam ahead for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. And if everything goes to plan, there could be a sweet surprise on the big day.
Insiders say the singer and her beau, both 36, are actively trying for a baby. If they have a baby before the wedding, Taylor will walk down the aisle confidently as a pregnant bride.
“They both want a baby more than a wedding, so if she’s pregnant when they exchange vows, it’ll be even more special,” reveals the source.
“It’s actually extra-sweet because Selena Gomez is trying for a baby too, so they’re both in that bubble. “Taylor’s simply pinching herself to be in this position – to be letting nature take its course while planning her dream wedding.”
The feud behind Kim’s big day
Forget Samantha Jones’ love of a big party. Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall tied the knot with BBC sound engineer Russell Thomas at London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall in a low-key ceremony with just 12 friends and family as witnesses.
And while legendary costume designer Patricia Field styled her for the big day, none of her SATC co-stars attended. However, sources say Sarah Jessica Parker, 60, who has long feuded with Kim, 69, sent a “peacemaking wedding gift” to her former friend.
“Sarah wants to patch things up with Kim and she’s hoping her gift won’t be sent back this time,” an insider tells.
“Sarah wants to bring SATC to Broadway and learnt from And Just Like That that she needs Kim on board to make it work. It’s not just about work, though – Sarah’s thrilled Kim’s finally found love after so many years of heartache. She deserves it more than anyone.”
