Her trim figure was the envy of women around the world when she played neurotic chef Monica Gellar on ‘Friends’. However, Courteney Cox has revealed a not-so-enviable secret to her slim physique – smoking!

“I never exercised during ‘Friends’,” the actress reveals. “I just smoked loads of cigarettes. Now I eat and exercise and, you know, do everything I can. I just try a lot harder than I used to.”

Courteney wouldn’t admit whether her healthier lifestyle now is due to the racy nude scenes she regularly films for her new series ‘Cougar Town’ but the stunning brunette does confess she still isn’t overly restrictive when it comes to her diet.

“I avoided salt the night before [a naked scene], but I didn’t go on a special diet really,” she says. “I’m not that disciplined. I can’t be – I’m too hungry all the time. I just had to suck it in a little tighter!”
