An Auckland mum, a former CLEO Bachelor of the Year finalist, and a school principal are among the first to be named as contestants on the Kiwi version of classic reality TV show Survivor.
TVNZ have confirmed the first series of Survivor NZ filmed in Nicaragua and hosted by Matt Chisholm will screen May 7.
Split into Tribes, the Kiwi Survivors will spend up to 40 days in a Nicaraguan jungle, filled with diverse and dangerous wildlife, battling it out in an ultimate test of endurance, strength and strategy.
Deprived of basic comforts and with little more than the clothes on their backs, they must survive the elements, build their own shelter, light their own fires, gather their own food, and fend for themselves – and the winner will walk away with a cash prize of $100,000,
