We’ve never seen our Silver Ferns in anything other than black, but this gorgeous new dress has just been unveiled for the Fast 5 Ferns.
Fast 5 is a high-speed variant of netball, with both the wing attack and wing defence positions dropped and alternative scoring options, including two and three pointers and power plays.

While the girls still love the traditional black and silver of the Silver Ferns, they’re loving the addition of pink to their playing strips for Fast 5 – and as Kayla Cullen happily pointed out to waiting media, the new dresses also feature bright pink shorts underneath.
The team was announced today for the Fast 5 Netball World Series, which will be held in November at Auckland’s Vector Arena. Here’s the line-up:
Shooters: Maria Tutaia, Irene van Dyk, Anna Thompson. Midcourt: Laura Langman, Kayla Cullen, Bailey Mes. Defence: Leana de Bruin, Anna Harrison, Casey Williams, Katrina Grant.
