Hugh, who played Gaston in the stage musical, and The Hobbit star Luke Evans, who will play him in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake, went head to head in a rousing sing-off on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend to prove who was the best ‘Gaston’.
Host Jonathan Ross, Hugh’s Eddie The Eagle co-star Taron Egerton and guest Shazia Mirza were all game to sing along as well, but it was clear the stage belonged to the two “burly and brawny” leading men!
With beer in hand, Hugh and Luke had the crowd in stitches with their swaggering take on Gaston’s iconic theme song.
