How to be: An Olympic shot put star with Jacko Gill

As we countdown to the start of the Rio Olympics on August 6, we go behind the scenes with some of New Zealand's top athletes to find out what it takes to succeed.

In the lead up to the Rio Olympics, the Weekly have snuck behind the scenes with some of New Zealand’s top athletes for a bit of one-on-one training.

Teaming up with SKY Sport presenters Scotty Stevenson and Melodie Robinson, every Friday we will find out just what it takes to reach the top of the sporting ladder.

This week, Melodie gets a lesson in where to put the shot put with rising star Jacko Gill.

He is one of three shot-putters heading to Rio (including Valerie Adams), and at just 21, is the world’s youngest ever male athletics champion.

You can watch Jacko in action on SKY Sport from midnight on Friday 19 August, ahead of the final starting later the same day.
