From the infamous kiss with Madonna, to her performance of ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ with a live snake wrapped around her shoulders, Britney Spears has had plenty of iconic moments on the MTV VMAs stage.
Now, it’s been announced that the pop diva will be returning to her old stomping grounds once more, when the 2016 VMAs ceremony airs on August 26.
This is the first time Britney will be performing on stage at the VMAs in almost 10 years, after her controversial rendition of single ‘Gimme More’ in 2007.
This time around, Britney will be performing her new hit ‘Make Me’, from the album Glory, for the very first time.
The songstress has a long history with the VMAs event, having been awarded the prestigious Video Vanguard gong in 2011 and notching up five Moonmen trophies over the course of her career.
Britney took to Twitter earlier today to announce the news with a special video teaser – check it out below.
