She plays a fairy on screen and it seems her character’s superstitious nature is rubbing off on Kiwi actress Anna Paquin. The True Blood star has opened up, saying she’s worried about her unborn twins, which are due any week now.
Explaining why she’s reluctant to talk about her growing bump, Anna said she doesn’t want to jinx her pregnancy by talking about it in great detail. “Obviously, we’re incredibly excited, but we’re still feeling a little protective over the whole thing,” she told Redbook magazine. “Something could happen, you know?”
Despite her concerns, Anna was glowing as she walked her dog Splash when she was spotted attending a doctor’s appointment, being helped out of the car by husband and True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer.
Stephen says he can’t wait to have two more additions to his family, which already includes his two children from previous relationships, Billy (12) and Lilac (10). “I love my kids,” he enthused to Us Weekly. “And having two more is just going to be even more crazy [and] cool!”
Anna’s already proven to be a fantastic stepmum, often spotted out with Billy and Lilac. Sources also say a trip home to New Zealand is on the cards for the couple after the twins are born and before filming for
the sixth season of True Blood, in which Anna plays telepathic fairy Sookie Stackhouse.
Anna’s older sister Katya – who’s married to Green Party co-leader Russel Norman – still lives in Wellington and could be expecting a visit from her little sister, along with her nieces or nephews, in the near future.
Anna and Stephen aren’t the only cast members of True Blood to have twins, with actor Sam Trammell, who plays bar owner Sam Merlotte, welcoming twin boys last year.
