The Bachelor returns for series 3 and is putting out the call for Kiwi bachelorettes

The reality dating show wants eligible ladies genuinely looking for love to apply.

A new season 3 of The Bachelor New Zealand is set to go into production, the show is casting for single women who are “looking for love and plenty of adventure”.

Ladies, between the ages of 21 – 35, are being offered the chance to try out as bachelorettes for the hugely popular dating show, which set to air next year.

While season one of The Bachelor New Zealand bought us Art Green and Matilda Rice, a couple reportedly still together, season two showed, as in real life, the road to true love is often rocky.

From breakups to makeups, The Bachelor is a worldwide success with 30 countries having taken part in their own search for love.

MediaWorks chief content officer Andrew Szusterman is excited to see what 2017 will deliver for the series.

“In 2017 we’re aiming for two out of three.”

The identity of the bachelor remains a closely guarded secret and will be revealed nearer to next year’s series launch.

Season 3 will follow a group of bachelorettes who are willing to put their hearts on the line to win the attention and affection of the Bachelor through a series of group dates, one-on-one dates, and of course, the famous rose ceremony.

During the rose ceremony, the Bachelor presents a single red rose to each of the bachelorettes that he would like to get to know better. Any woman left without a rose must pack her bags and leave The Bachelor New Zealand mansion.
