Sofía Vergara was reportedly reprimanded for dancing on a chair during a girls’ night out this week.
The Modern Family actress is rumoured to have recently split from her boyfriend Nick Loeb and appears to be making the most of her single status. Sofía has enjoyed a series of evening with her friends and on Wednesday night she was spotted partying in New York City.
Sofía and the group of 16 women apparently let loose when Gloria Gaynor’s classic track I Will Survive was played at the eatery Beauty & Essex. The 39-year-old beauty is believed to have jumped up on her chair to sing and dance along to the classic disco tune about heartbreak.
According to People, staff at the venue “reprimanded the group for safety reasons”.
While the women were being asked to climb down, Sofía reportedly came back with a comic reply. She was adamant that she was perfectly safe dancing on the chair – despite wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin leopard-print high heels.
“We are not from America. We won’t sue. It’s not in our vocabulary,” an onlooker claims the actress said.
Sofía is believed to have ended her two-year romance with entrepreneur Nick following a series of arguments.
