Robbie Williams wishes he’d swung both ways

The singer says he wishes he had been a little more sexually adventurous in his younger days.

Robbie Williams’ new album might be called Swings Both Ways, but the 39-year-old singer says he wishes he had been a little more sexually adventurous in his younger days. When the married father of one was asked on The Kyle And Jackie O Show whether he had a same-sex relationship, he said, “You know what? I wish I did. Especially in the singleton days – I would have had a 100% hit record, because, you know, if I was getting no joy from the ladies, I could have gone up the Khyber Pass with the guys.”

He added, “I would have liked to have done that, but unfortunately I shy away from the meat and two veg. I know what mine looks like and it’s ugly.”

Robbie’s 10th album is a collection of classic and original big band and showbiz songs, and the star says he has left his wild rock ‘n’ roll days behind him, thanks to his 13-month-old daughter, Theodora (Teddy).

“I also stopped smoking a year and a half ago and I’ve come onto the sleeping pattern the rest of the world is on. Before I was on rock star hours. The earliest I’d go to sleep was three o’clock; the earliest I’d wake would be 12,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I do a ton of nappies. I love bath times. I love clothes changing. I’m very hands-on. I’ve clicked on websites for bits and bobs of clothes, though mainly it’s her mummy who does that, plus she gets so many presents from aunties, grandmas and friends.”
