Her voice has been compared to fellow Brits Amy Winehouse and Duffy, but former English burlesque dancer Paloma Faith is making her own mark on the music industry with her second album Fall to Grace. The album is influenced by a series of difficult experiences she’s faced which she’s turned into non-depressing pop melodies. The album features a wide array of sounds, no more so than on Picking Up the Pieces, which is backed with strings, drums and a choir. Accompanied by a piano, slower track Just Be lets her soulful voice power through.
