Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton are both out of a job, after television channel E! opted not to renew their contracts. The duo – who star in reality show The Simple Life – are both currently facing legal woes. Paris recently spent 23 days behind bars while Nicole has pleaded guilty to charge of driving under the influence of drugs and will also be jailed. But while insiders say the negative publicity could have influenced E!’s decision, the network denies this. “The Simple Life has been a wonderful addition to the E! schedule for two years and we will always be grateful to Paris and Nicole for their hard work and graciousness,” E! says an E! spokesperson.
