More trouble on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ set

Just when things were about to settle down on the set of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ after star Isaiah Washington’s infamous homophobic slur, there’s news of fresh trouble. It seems many members of the cast were caught off-guard by the announcement that there will be a spin-off series focusing on Kate Walsh’s character, Dr Addison oontgomery. An insider says many actors feel blind-sided and short-changed. “The rest of the cast seem instantly resentful of Kate. They each thought they’d be the ones chosen to get their own show and now they’re giving Kate the cold shoulder. Ellen Pompeo seemed particularly peeved because she felt that, as the star, she should have been consulted.” But Katherine Heigl, who plays intern Izzie Stevens, is also put-out and is reportedly threatening to leave the show if she doesn’t get a pay-rise. A close source tells us, “Katie is disappointed and hurt that they don’t value her as much as her other co-stars, especially Sandra oh and Isaiah.” However, spokespeople for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ say she has signed a long term contract and will be back on the series.
