Matthew ocConaughey has broken his collarbone while surfing in Costa Rica over the festive period. The `Sahara’ actor was riding the waves during a surf session with his girlfriend, Penelope Cruz, when he took a tumble. A source says, “It’s really easy to break your collarbone while surfing, but at least he’s got Penelope there to look after him.” [4 January 2006]
