Overexposed, the fourth album from pop-rock act Maroon 5, is aptly titled. A cheeky nod last to year’s thrashed-to-death single Moves Like Jagger, the band seems aware that their latest outing will inevitably be compared to that success – and that ultimately it falls short. Although true to their trademark funky, lyrical style, lead singer Adam Levine, who is famed for his clever word play, doesn’t pull out any tricks. The effortlessly catchy Lucky Strike is a standout but ultimately this is all a little ho-hum.
