Mother-of-two Maggie Gyllenhaal is the latest name to be put forward for the coveted role of Anastasia Steele in the film of best-selling book “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Although Anastasia is in her early twenties, 35-year-old Maggie is said to be gunning for the sexy role after she posed in a recent Agent Provocateur lingerie advertisement. It wouldn’t be the first time Maggie, who is Jake Gyllenhaal’s big sister, has starred in a steamy role. Maggie made her name in 2002’s “Secretary” playing a young woman in a sadomasochistic relationship with her boss.
Also said to be in the running for the role of Anastasia are the “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis and “Twilight”’s Kristen Stewart. Meanwhile men in the running to play the character of Christian Grey include “White Collar” star Matt Bomer, “The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder and Channing Tatum.
