Rumours have been swirling for some time, but now Lily Allen has finally admitted that she’s out of retirement and back making music.
The 27-year-old singer tweeted “You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the f***ing studio with [producer] @GregKurstin.”
She went on to add, “No big deal really, I’m just throwing s**t at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.
Producer Greg worked with Lily on her two albums “Alright, Still” and “It’s Not Me, It’s You.”
In 2010, the singer announced she was taking a break from the music industry to focus on her fashion store, Lucy In Disguise, and her personal life.
Lily married painter Sam Cooper in June 2010 and gave birth to a daughter, Ethel, last November.
Early this year, an insider said that writing music for the Bridget Jones musical made Lily want to start making records again. Lily has also admitted that she misses performing.
The insider added that Lily’s new family is giving her inspiration for her new sound.
