Pirates of the Caribbean starlet Keira Knightley has been named as the new face of Chanel, replacing troubled supermodel Kate Moss. Tomboy Keira, who has been criticised in the past for being too skinny and too scruffy, has been working hard to glam up her image. She is delighted with the contract, confessing that Chanel’s Coco was the first perfume she ever wore. A Chanel spokesman said that Keira was chosen because of her “timeless chic”. “We think Keira is perfect because she is always incredibly alluring and seductive”, he said.
