Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine went missing over the weekend, distressing her 14-year-old granddaughter Paris.
Katherine’s nephew, Trent, reported the 82-year-old matriarch was missing on Saturday, saying she had not been heard from in a week. Michael’s daughter Paris, who lives with Katherine, took to Twitter to write an emotional message about her grandmother’s disappearance.
“Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven’t spoken with her in a week. I want her home now,” she wrote. However Katherine’s son Jermaine reported that Katherine is safe and under a doctor’s care in Arizona, although she is still yet to confirm her whereabouts to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Katherine’s reported disappearance comes in the middle of a family dispute between several Jackson children and the executors of Michael’s estate. Several members of the Jackson family are contesting the authenticity of the late pop star’s will.
