She’s one of the more recognisable faces in the world – but Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge was able to slip under the radar last week in Wales. Kate popped into a watersports store in Rhosneigr, Anglesey to buy a wetsuit but realised she had forgotten her wallet containing her money and credit card. Kate asked the owner to reserve the wetsuit for her so she could return to purchase it at a later date.
The owner failed to recognise her and asked for her name – to which Kate replied “Mrs Cambridge”.
Kate Middleton simply smiled when she was told Cambridge was an unusual name
Dave Buckland, the store’s owner, commented that Cambridge was an unusual surname and Kate is said to have simply smiled. Dave hasn’t lived it down since.
