Pop star Justin Bieber was the victim of a sophisticated Ocean’s Eleven-style robbery while performing in South Africa over the weekend.
Criminals broke into the walk-in safe of Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium and stole the concert’s refreshment and merchandise takings, according to South Africa’s Eyewitness News. The suspects reportedly used ropes to lower themselves into the room and are believed to have chiselled their way through the room’s double-thick walls.
It is not known how much money was taken. The stadium was on lockdown yesterday as police and forensic experts searched for clues, and police are seeking CCTV footage.
