‘Chocolat’ star Juliette Binoche has encouraged women not to fear ageing.
The stunning actress says, “The worst thing that women have to deal with is the fear of getting old. I was in Hollywood recently and I thought, ‘This is the atmosphere that women have to live with.’ In my profession, there is this fear of not getting roles as you get older, and having to look good.”
Juliette, who says she’ll never have cosmetic surgery adds, “It’s terrible, artistically, when the whole emphasis is on how young you look, not how good the work you do is. If the only thing we fear is ageing, then what on earth is the purpose of our lives – looking in the mirror? That’s terrible!”
