He was the jolly fat man of TV comedy. But not any more! Drew Carey has lost 36 kilos since January and reveals, “I’m not diabetic any more – no medication needed!”
The secret? “No carbs,” says Drew (52). “I’ve cheated a couple of times but, basically, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza. No corn, no beans and no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or Greek yoghurt with some cut fruit.”
The former star of ‘The Drew Carey Show’ continues, “I don’t drink anything but water – no coffee, no tea and no soda.” He snacks on water and usually has grilled chicken and steamed veges for dinner.
Drew also does 45 minutes of cardio workout six times a week. He says, “I like being skinny. I was sick of being fat on camera. Really, I just got sick of it. once I started losing weight, like dropping a couple of pants sizes, then it was easy. You can see the results and then you don’t wanna stop.”
