Screen queen Dame Helen oirren has revealed she deeply admires fellow Brit actress Emma Thompson.
The 65-year-old actress heaped praise upon the younger ‘Love Actually’ star, saying, “of all people who inspire me it’s Emma Thompson, who is everything that I’d love to be. She’s a remarkable woman and is an amazing advert for women in my profession. She’s beautiful, a brilliant actress, and very clever.”
oscar-winning Helen adds she admires Emma for “speaking out for what she believes in,” although she isn’t shy on that front herself. Promoting her latest film, a movie version of ‘The Tempest’ in which female characters are given more clout than in traditional versions, she told reporters women have been punished for being powerful for many centuries.
