She may be known as “The Body” but Aussie beauty Elle ocPherson really can’t see what all the fuss is about. “I have never, ever perceived myself to be a beauty,” says the supermodel. “Although I know I work well with what I have.”
And work it she does! Elle, who has been announced as the new host of ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’, keeps getting better with age. “We are born with our genes but how we present, that is up to us,” says Elle. “That’s why I work better than I did 30 years ago. I still have the same genetics but I have changed as a woman. I am interested in different things and I’m more confident in my body now. I am confident being me.”
And the mother of two is fearless in the face of the march of time. “What’s the other option?” she says. “I can’t stop time. My body’s fared me well. I don’t feel pressure to be ‘The Body’, because it’s often all smoke and mirrors. I just feel really appreciative that I’m so strong and healthy.”
